As it was said, “you cannot serve two masters at the same time” [or even if you can, one of them will surely be given less attention].
Back then, I was a full time student and at the same time teaching in a private high school. The teaching part is manageable, but it is the preparation that consumes most of my time to the point that less hours are left for my law subjects, i.e. if you have a meticulous boss that really monitors and follows your ass . As a result, I did not hit the passing mark for midterms in Labor Law. Anxious that I may not make it to the finals, I searched for means which could help me retain my job and at the same time survive law school. I found audio codals and legal lectures in the internet, which in my situation are ready-to-hand legal materials. Inspired by the Heideggerian philosophy of “care” and being aware of the arduous and financially challenging study of law, I believe that sharing these materials will be helpful to working law students like me, hence this website. This site also contain some legal files, case digests, and some articles on philosophy, the cerebral disciplines I love the most. You can also visit my blog at Sophia Legis.blogspot.com. May the odds be ever in our favor, that we may be rooted in the darkness of the earth and at the same time open to the possibilities of the boundless ether, where free spirits rise and fall! |
